Oatly
Oatly is the Swedish oat drink company whose self-mocking packaging voice — printed disclaimers, arguments with itself, jokes about its own marketing — became the product's real moat. The website extends the carton onto the internet.

What hooked us
The site reads like the carton: hand-scrawled headlines, clashing type, copy that interrupts itself to apologize for being copy. It’s deliberately over-stuffed and under-polished — closer to a zine than a beverage company — and that scruff is a precision instrument, executed by people who clearly could do slick and chose not to. What hooked us is the consistency of the bit: navigation, legal pages, even the boring corporate corners keep the voice. Committing to a joke everywhere is a design system too, and a hard one.
