Mercury
Mercury provides banking and finance software to startups, and has spent years arguing that financial software deserves real design attention. Much of the industry's current taste in fintech interfaces traces back to this company's output.

What hooked us
The hero is a lone desk parked on a misty mountaintop — banking as expedition gear — and the surrealism is delivered so calmly it reads as confidence rather than a stunt. Below, the site goes full nocturne: charcoal grounds, account ledgers and treasury panels rendered sharp enough to audit, headlines kept short and level. Fintech marketing usually oscillates between confetti and beige; Mercury holds a third register, cinematic and quiet at once, and an entire generation of finance sites is downstream of it.
