Klim Type Foundry
Klim is Kris Sowersby's type foundry in Wellington, New Zealand, behind faces like Söhne, Signifier and Founders Grotesk. Alongside the catalogue it publishes some of the most rigorous writing on type design anywhere on the web.

What hooked us
A foundry site that opens like an art book — full-bleed photography and film stills on a dark ground before a single font is pitched. When the catalogue arrives it’s the cleanest trick on the page: a stack of plain name-bars, each set in the very face it names, letting Signifier and Söhne argue for themselves at size. Below, “fonts in use” shows the faces out working in the world, and the blog crops sit one scroll from checkout. Merchandising and scholarship, run through the same cold eye.
